Grossmont College offers an opportunity for students and
community members to experience Paris for four weeks, as the
second part of a six-week summer program in French and art
history beginning June 13 on the El Cajon college campus.
Taught by Grossmont College French instructor David Milroy
and Professor of Art History Dr. Marion de Koning, the
program will offer the opportunity for students to earn up
to eight college credits. While in France for four weeks
June 24-July 25, students will live in apartments in Paris,
visit four nearby castles, and experience a two-day
excursion to the Loire Valley and the chateaux of the French
Renaissance.
According to Grossmont College President Dr. Ted Martinez,
Jr., “We are pleased to be able to resume these vibrant
study abroad opportunities for the Grossmont College
community, further enriching the academic experience we
provide here on campus.”
Students who are California residents will pay enrollment
fees of $26/unit for class credits. The study abroad portion
of the program will cost $3,999, which includes round-trip
airfare, housing in Paris, and the castle and Loire Valley
excursions. Parents and others who may wish to participate
will have the option to enroll in the coursework on a
credit/no-credit basis.
