GC Students Make the Transfer Connection
68 Honored at Celebration for Achievement

With transfer destinations as varied as Central Washington University, Parsons School of Design, Valparaiso University and Xavier University,
Grossmont College graduates are moving on to the next step in their educational journey. Although San Diego State University is the most popular transfer destination (62 percent of Grossmont College transfers), other California State University campuses are also popular: Long Beach State, San Bernardino, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Sacramento State, Fullerton and Northridge. Three students plan to attend UC Berkeley, nine will attend UC San Diego, and one has chosen UC Santa Barbara.

Students accepted for transfer and their families celebrated May 14 at the Transfer Achievement Celebration in the Student Center. They included Alyssa M. Alfred, Cross-Cultural Studies major who will transfer to SDSU; and Robert Romero who will study sociology at UCSD.
