Four active business and community members have joined the
Grossmont College Foundation Board of Directors.

Jack Heilbron
Chief Investment Officer
Centurion Counsel
“Being a native San Diegan (4th generation) I have a special
bond with San Diego. In particular, I grew up in the East
County where my family has had roots since WWII. I am a firm
believer in giving back to my community and try to manage my
time so I have the opportunity to put my expertise to work
with organizations that have the same long-standing ties.
Grossmont Foundation was a perfect fit for me in this area,
and as an added bonus, I even attended Grossmont College in
the late 60’s. I am grateful for the opportunity to work
with the Foundation.” |

Vicki Whitmire
Vice President
San Diego National Bank
“Serving on the Grossmont College Foundation Board has been
an exciting opportunity for me to help contribute to an
important part of the growing community—our students.
Building strong strategic plans to assure all students have
the chance for higher education is not only the goal of the
Foundation, but our commitment. We all possess certain
talents that, when shared with others in our local
businesses and neighborhoods, can help to develop strong
community partners. I appreciate the chance to work with
such dedicated community leaders. It has been both
inspirational and fulfilling. I look forward to continued
growth and better education for all of our students.” |

Steve A. Devan
President & CEO
Grossmont Schools Federal Credit Union
My reason for serving is very simple. As the President/CEO
of Grossmont Schools Federal Credit Union, the ability to
serve on the Grossmont College Foundation board is one of
many ways for the credit union to keep abreast of the
activities that affect the employees of the GCCCD, and to
further emphasize our commitment to the district. It is also
an excellent way to improve our visibility as we work to
establish a "community partnership" with the campuses and
administration of the GCCCD. |

Cheryl Minshew
Director
Heritage of the Americas Museum
“Having grown up in La Mesa, living, working and raising my
children in East County and now, grandchildren growing up
here, I not only realize how important educational
opportunities have been to the successes in my family, but
the importance of continuing to provide excellant
educational opportunities and choices to today's and future
East County students.”
