Ongoing Course Requirements:
To succeed in online courses, you are expected
to have access to a computer, internet, an email account and MS
Words. You need to be computer literate, comfortable using the
internet, motivated, and self- disciplined. You are required to
daily check the course mail, calendar, WebCT homepage for
announcements and updates, and discussion board for new
announcements and changes in due dates. Plan to spend at least TWO
hours a day THREE days a week to succeed in this course.
Due Dates:
Students taking this class are expected to be
comfortable using computers and the Internet. It is the student’s
responsibility to turn in assignments by the due date indicated on
the calendar.
Please work ahead and allow plenty of time to
deal with technology problems. You are advised to anticipate
computer problems, Internet traffic, and many other life and
technical difficulties.
Taking this course online means you may participate anytime from
anywhere; however, in a pace set by the instructors. Due dates are
indicated on the syllabus and WebCT calendar. NO Late work will be
accepted.Computer or
technical problems are not acceptable reasons for failure in
participating in the on going course requirements.

- Reading
Each week you will be assigned a chapter to read from your text. Please
refer to the course calendar for weekly reading and assignments.
- Discussion/ Responding to the Weekly
Postings
Every
week the topic of the reading will be posted for discussion. You are required to
participate in discussion. Your response
will be your thoughts and reflections on the topic. in addition,
your response has to include commenting on another student's
response.
Please
consider the discussion in the bulletin board as your traditional
classroom discussion. If you are unable to participate in the discussion
for more than one week you will be regarded inactive in the course
for your lack of participation as an indication you may be subject to be dropped.
Each discussion forum will be open from Wednesday morning till Friday
night of that week. You may only participate within this time frame.
You will not be able to post on a previous topic if missed.
- Online Weekly/Chapter Quizzes
Each
week you are required to take an online quiz for the chapter assigned.
Quizzes will be open from Monday morning till Sunday night of
each week.
- Assignments
All assignments should be saved in M.S. Words and sent through WebCT
Assignment Drop Box. Keep copies of all your completed assignments for your own records. Your
file should have your
full name and the assignment topic Please refer to the
Assignment
page for directions.
- Final Examination
The
final exam will be given on campus. The final will
be comprehensive that includes all chapters covered in the semester.
NO make up will be allowed.
