This orientation will cover the basics regarding how to
navigate the course management system, Blackboard, how to upload
assignments, using MyITLab for the essential courses and other key
elements of online courses. Andre Andersen will be
coordinating this event, so please contact him if you have further
questions.
Yes, you must have the Microsoft Office software for
2007. A trial version can be downloaded, however be aware that this
is only available for 60 days and at that time; you would need to
purchase a full version. Details will be provided how to purchase a
student package at a reduced price than the professional one.
Instructors will have their syllabi posted on this website in the
near future. Blackboard access will be available the weekend
before the semester begins. Remember your log-in is your first and last name as User and
your password is your 6-digit PIN (birthdate: mm/dd/yy). Please
take time to go through the Blackboard tutorial that explains how
the course management system operates. It provides useful
information about contacting your instructor, uploading assignments,
etc.,
We look forward to a successful experience using
distance education. Please consider if this isn’t the correct mode
of learning for you, then the BOT Flex Lab is an open entry/open
exit format in which you work at your own pace based on the schedule
of required hours. There is an online link you can click to explore
more about this option.
