This Certificate of Proficiency provides technical skills, healthcare science, and medical language background necessary to begin a career as a healthcare documentation professional. Students successfully completing the certificate will be prepared to enter into the healthcare documentation field in single-specialty physicians’ offices, group practice or small medical clinic settings. The certificate provides a strong foundation toward working in the acute-care or multi-specialty workplace. All classes must be completed with a “C” grade or higher.
