Behavioral Sciences Department

Sociology is the scientific study of human social life, including social interactions, social organizations and social change. As scientific and academic subject, sociology studies the social causes and consequences of human behaviors. A degree in sociology is an excellent springboard for entering the world of government, business, industry, and nongovernmental and not-for-profit organizations. The sociological perspective is crucial for working in today's multiethnic and multinational work environments. A sociological perspective provides valuable insights into social factors such as race, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, education, religion, and social class that affect work and how organizations operate.
