2006 Season Highlights
(5/19) The All-American Community College Swim and
Dive teams were announced, and several Griffins received honors,
they are:
Erica Robbins: 200IM, 100IM, 100 Fly, 100 breaststroke, 200
free relay, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay, 800 free relay
Miho Takahashi: 200 IM, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay, 800
free relay
Bree Sneddon: 400 free relay, 200 free relay, 400 medley
relay, 800 free relay
Stephanie McQuade: 1650 free, 800 free relay
Kim Moore: 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 400 Medley Relay
Caroline Galambos: 200 free relay
Briley Ochs: 1 meter dive, 3 meter dive
(5/10) Grossmont's Adam Bellisteri was named
the State Dive coach of the year.
Briley Ochs finished 2nd in the 1 meter and was state champ
for 3-meter. In addition she was the state diver of the year.
Erica Robbins is the OEC Swimmer of the year, winning three
individual events (100 & 200 IM, 100 Fly) She broke the Grossmont
College records in the 100 & 200 IM (1:01.20 & 2:09.70)
The 100 IM record was a 24 year old record set in 1982 by
Caroline Hart.
Also, we broke the Grossmont college 800 free record:
(8:07.82 – Bree Sneddon, Miho Takahashi, Stephanie
McQuade, Erica Robbins) old record was set in 2001 with a
time of 8:15.19
400 free record
(3:46.61 – Eric Robbins, Kim Moore, Miho Takahashi,
Bree Sneddon) old Record was set in 2001 with a time of
3:47.10
(5/3) Grossmont swimmer Erica Robbins was named PCC
Athlete of the Week today. Robbins, a freshman from Saint Francis
High School in Sacramento, won the 100 butterfly in the Orange
Empire Conference championships at Saddleback College. Robbins
registered a time of 58.78 seconds.
(3/31) Erica Robbins broke the Grossmont College record in
the 200 IM with a time of 2:13.33, leading the Griffins to a 156-132
win over Saddleback College. Briley Ochs won the 1 and 3 meter dive
events. Kim Moore won the 50 Butterfly the 100 freestyle, and lead
off the 200 free relay which won with a time of 1:46.64.

(2/15) Erica Robbins won the Pentathlon Swim Meet held at
Palomar College (2/10/06.) The winner of the meet has the fastest
overall time in the 50 fly/back/breast/free and the 100 IM. Her
overall time was 3:02.27
Kim Moore finished 5th with an overall time of 3:13.13, and
Bree
Sneddon finished 7th overall with a time of 3:16.30.
