Griffs gather another honor

Kyrstin Gemar was named a PCC Honorable Mention Athlete of the Week, for the week ending February 12. The freshman first baseman/designated player from Clairemont High School has had walk-off home runs vs. Saddleback and Orange Coast the last two weeks. She’s hitting .444 with five RBIs.

Crain is PCC honorable mention

Grossmont softball player Michaela Crain, a sophomore pitcher from El Cajon Valley High School, went 5-for-7 with a fence-clearing home run as the Griffins split their first two softball games, beating Chaffey 11-1 and falling to San Bernardino Valley 7-2. She was the winning pitcher against the Panthers.
