Cost: $92 + $2 per day for parking, health fee extra. Other
fees may apply.* Cost is for CA residents.
****Please note this course is set up so you can
take both courses at the same time. PC 832 meets only two
Saturdays, and the firearms course meets the other three Saturdays.
There is no conflict.

AOJ 101 FIREARMS FOR PC 832

3 Saturdays Only (must attend all 3 days for
credit)
Dates TBD - 0700-1600 (7am - 4pm)
Cost: $23 + health fee and $1.00 student fee*. No parking permit needed.
($42 total) Plus the following equipment will need to be
purchased by you:
1)
450 rounds of ball ammunition (100 rounds needed the first
day) .40 caliber
(Factory ammo only, No reloads!)
2) Shooting glasses
3) Hearing protection
4) 10 targets ( B-27 only –
75 foot)
Those interested in firearms must request a
background packet prior to enrolling. Request a packet by March
15, 2013. Background packet requests will be accepted starting
Jan. 21, 2013. (deadline extended one week)
If you already have PC 832, and need just firearms, you may take
the firearms only class by paying the required fees. You will
need to notify me and show proof of the Laws of Arrest class so I
can clear the pre-requisite. No
parking fee required. (Must show PC 832 Certificate of completion).
However, if you have not taken AOJ 100 Laws of Arrest, you cannot
take the firearms portion without enrolling in the class at this
time. We have the schedule set so you can take both courses at
the same time, without any Saturday conflicts.
*Student fees: $1 for student
govt. fee per semester per student. If you are
registered in other classes you will not be assessed these fees
again.
You may purchase daily parking permits for $2.00 per day instead
of semester parking permit if this is the only class you are taking.
All prices are for Ca residents.
Those interested in firearms must request a
background packet prior to enrolling. Request a packet by TBD starting
TBD. POST requires the DOJ clearance to be dated within 90
days of the actual course. Letters dated earlier will be
invalid and will require you to re-submit your DOJ application.
*****For
background packet, please email Kathy your mailing address
(include apt. numbers and city & zip code), phone number and student
ID number. No phone requests will be accepted. Requests cannot
be processed without your student ID number. You must be a
current student or have applied to the college before requesting a
background packet.

We provide the firearm & holster, but you must provide all other
equipment. You may use your own 9mm or .40 cal. firearm.
All others must be approved.
WARNING!
Applicants MUST NOT have any FELONY CONVICTIONS! In addition, you
cannot have any Drug, Weapons, Assault or Domestic Violence
convictions! You are not eligible if you even have a TRO (Temporary
Restraining Order) relating to weapons, assaults or domestic
violence!
If you do not take the current course here at
Grossmont College, Miramar College is the only college currently

enroll in our courses after your application has been submitted.
This is good for all classes, just be sure to use the correct
section number.
REGISTER ON THE INTERNET
To Register
Before
you register for class, you must have an application on file, and it
takes 24 hours to process your application. You can only register
at your appointment time or after, which will be emailed to you, so
have a current email address on file with the college. To apply,
www.grossmont.edu, click “apply online”.

www.grossmont.edu and click on
webadvisor

Login - name (first.last) pin -
birthdate (6 digits)
If there are more than one student with the same name, you will be
given a series of numbers to add to your last name. You need
to know this before you can log in to webadvisor.

You will be asked to customize your pin

Select Express Registration

Type in section number - (4
digits) then select
term from drop down menu (spring 2013 or current
semester), click submit;
(skip
authorization code- this is only used if
you have an add code)

From menu beside course listed, select
from drop
down menu “RG Register”, click submit; go back to
main menu for next step
· Make
sure to add all classes before selecting “make
payment”. You are responsible for all
fees. Non- payment for class will forfeit credit for the
class.
· Parking
permit: From other services menu, lower
right side of menu. Permits are required to park on
campus.

From Main menu select Register / Drop,
select Drop

Click on box next to course you want to
drop. Then
click submit.
You
may make a payment online via secure website or in person at the
Cashiers office. They are open M-F, 8-5.
All fees must be paid at the time of registration to prevent being
dropped and not receiving credit for the course.
