ll. PRESIDENT’S REPORT

Beth reminded the Senators that only senators are able to vote during a senate meeting. All guests are welcome to attend and participate in the meetings but are not able to vote.

Beth shared that after the Academic Senate meeting on March 7th the Professional Relations Committee will be providing a treat for the senate.

V. INFORMATION ITEMS

Resolution of No Confidence in Chancellor Omero Suarez – (Attachment #1)

Beth gave a review of the situation with the Chancellor and many of the causes leading to the resolution of no confidence.

A motion was made to discuss the resolution draft.

Beth asked if there were any edits and/or changes. The group reviewed and discussed the resolution. The group agreed to four changes in the document. The changes strengthened the document but did not change the meaning or intent of the resolution. Beth will send out the revised resolution by e-mail for the senators to share with their departments.

Beth thanked everyone for attending and reminded them of the next meeting on Monday, March 7th.

Meeting adjourned at 12:30 p.m.
