Art-Drawing, Design & PaintingDescription The one improvement added to the 2D area is the multimedia projection system. We anticipate several technology needs, ranging from CPU’s to special needs equipment that complement the 2D area. We anticipate improvements in the classrooms i.e. ventilation improvements, lighting, structural adjustments. We also need upgrades in technology i.e. scanners, portable lighting, and various other items that will maintain the level of need for out students. Curriculum Impact Anticipate the improvements and adjustments of the multimedia systems, to work with the addition of technical equipment. Additional improvements of classroom equipment, i.e. tables, drawing equipment, easels, table saw, lighting will maintain and enhance the educational needs of students and aid instruction. Approximate Number of Students Served The 2D area serves about 300-350 students per semester. Support Impact Technical upgrades of audio-visual equipment, and classroom equipment in lab as explained Year 1 (2007-2008) Objective There is a priority given to CPU (Mac) and equipment for instructor office 277. Upgrade tables in both 274, and 208. Need CPU (Mac) for office in 208. Action to Meet Objective As we move forward with curriculum and instructional use we have an immediate need to maintain and upgrade equipment needs in both 208 and 274. Year 2 (2008-2009) Objective As described above, objective is to improve equipment, tables, and the ventilation system in 208, and remodeling needs to improve lighting conditions as well. Action to Meet Objective Add additional lighting to both Room 208 and 274, replace old equipment, and add tables, drawing stands, portable lighting, and CPU equipment, such as scanners, cameras, and related equipment. Improve ventilation in 208. Year 3 (2009-2010) Objective As described above objective is to replace and or improve classroom equipment, tables, etc, and restructure or upgrade both 208 and 274 to improve format needs of each teaching area for 2D. Action to Meet Objective Add additional lighting to both Room 208 and 274, replace old equipment, and add tables, drawing stands, portable lighting, and CPU equipment, such as scanners, cameras, and related equipment. |
