AssessmentDescription
The Assessment Office is
heavily dependant on optical-scanning technology for the scoring of its tests.
This technology is somewhat old, but functional with support from Information
Systems. The scanners and PCs comply with Information Systems minimum standards,
but need periodic updating.
The choice of assessment
methods and the means of delivery
impacts not only the assessment
process, but also how we provide our new student orientation and advisement
services. There will be changes in work schedules, facility needs, calendar of
events, and post-test advising. The Assessment Office serves approximately 5000 students each year. Support Impact The new
student record system will require a huge amount of training and support from
Information Systems. This is in addition to their support of existing hardware
and software used by Assessment. Objective
