Printing
Description
The Printing Department has made positive strides in bringing current
technology to the college campus. This includes high-volume digital network
copiers, computers and bindery equipment used by the department. In addition to
continuing this trend, the focus for the next three years will include
automation of various tasks using the most current technology in order to serve
the college needs. EX: Tracking Software
Curriculum Impact
Our proposed plan will impact all departments for Grossmont College, as well
as the District and Cuyamaca College. Both, administrative and instructional
reproduction together with related Printing Department services link closely to
the college’s student success in the classroom, from the initial enrollment
process through to graduation day. The Printing Department is an essentially
effective tool used by all staff to promote a high-quality education for all
students.
Approximate Number of Students Served
The department currently serves all Grossmont College students through
faculty, staff and administration publications on both campuses (Grossmont and
Cuyamaca) plus the District offices. The number of students served is expected
to rise in the next 3 years. We project that our Technology Plan will
accommodate current enrollment, as well as, the needs of an increased student
population.
Support Impact
Technical support needs will most likely remain the same in the future. The
Printing Department will use existing personnel and, if needed, arrange for our
current staff to receive the additional training required for our new
technically enhanced services.
