Description
Technology in faculty offices and the classrooms used by the mathematics
department needs to be upgraded so that the teaching staff can utilize software
to create presentations for their students. Faculty offices should have
computers, scanners, photo copiers and fax machines. Classrooms used for math
courses need smart carts that have computer, TI-Presenter, VCR, digital document
cameras, data projectors and wall mounted screens in addition to larger amounts
of whiteboard.

Faculty members will be able to make better presentations to the students.
Approximate Number of Students Served
6000 students/semester take math classes.
Support Impact
There will be no change on demands for support services.
The mathematics clerical assistant is sufficient.
Year 1 (2004-2005)
Objective
Provide all math faculty with adequate equipment for development of
instructional materials, presentations, communication and grading.
Provide the classrooms used by the math faculty with adequate equipment and
software for instructional presentations to the students.
Action to Meet Objective
Upgrade the computers and technology in faculty offices and classrooms. Purchase
digital document cameras for the math classrooms.
