Learning Resources: Creative Production Group
Graphics · Photography · Word Processing
Description
The Creative Production Group produces materials for instruction, information
and marketing. The design work for the Class Schedules, College Catalog and
program brochures is accomplished here. All three departments make extensive use
of technology. The designers in Graphics do all of their finished work and most
of their preliminary designs on Mac’s. The Photography Department is now using
digital photography completely: Nikon cameras interfaced with Macs. Word
Processing uses PCs and produces a large amount of work for faculty members and
departments. In addition, this department is providing Graphics with an
increasing amount of support on projects that previously would have been
completed solely by Graphics.
Curriculum Impact
This group has an impact on instruction, recruitment, and the college image.
Approximate Number of Students Served
Has the potential to affect all students.
Support Impact
The technology needs to be current, i.e., regularly upgraded, and staff
development must be provided so the technology can be fully and effectively
used. Additional staff in Graphics is required because of increased demand.
