Facilities, Operations, & Maintenance

Year 1 (2004-2005)

Objective

  1. Maintain up-to-date technology that meets District Information and Building Systems standards.
  2. Utilize software that assists security, building, and department efficiencies.
  3. Utilize building and security control systems that improve operating, maintenance and safety of building systems and assets.

Action to Meet Objective

  1. Participate in the Student Services PC replacement plan. Add 4 additional computers to the custodial department meeting area.
  2. Survey Community Colleges and Universities for software that will assist department’s efficiency.
  3. Begin to implement asset control security systems and access control systems

Year 2 (2005-2006)

Objective

  1. Maintain up-to-date technology that meets District Information Systems standards.
  2. Utilize software that assists security, building, and department s’ efficiency.
  3. Utilize building and security control systems that improve operating, maintenance and safety of building systems and assets.

Action to Meet Objective

  1. Participate in the Student Services PC replacement plan. Replace outdated maintenance department computers.
  2. Survey Community Colleges and Universities for software that will assist departments’ efficiency. Meet to discuss feasibility and cost implications of software findings with department members, Administration, and IS department.
  3. Begin to implement asset control security systems and access control systems.

Year 3 (2006-2007)

Objective

  1. Maintain up-to-date technology that meets District Information Systems standards.
  2. Utilize software that assists building, safety and department efficiency.
  3. Utilize building and security control systems that improve operating, maintenance and safety of building systems and assets.

Action to Meet Objective

  1. Participate in the Student Services PC replacement plan. Add two additional computers to the Grounds Maintenance Department’s office area.
  2. Survey Community Colleges and Universities for software that will assist departments’ efficiency.
  3. Continue to implement asset control security systems and access control systems
