Cashiering
Description
Currently, the Cashier office has five computers, four credit card machines
and printers, fax machine, Canon copier, two printers, an IBM typewriter, dollar
bill counter, coin counter, and four calculators. We anticipate filling our .40
position in the next few months. In the next few years, we anticipate changes
due to the implementation and business process modifications of a new student
records system and the building of the new student center where we will be
located in the near future. We are also hoping that additional district
cashiering functions will be decentralized to the campuses. All of these issues
could have additional technology impacts.
Curriculum Impact
Approximate Number of Students Served
In one form or another, we service each individual student who attends the
college. Hopefully, an increase in attendees will continue each year.
Support Impact
The Cashier office desperately needs an additional full time classified
staff member to be added in the future. This would provide stability and
consistency within the office and department. Our needs may change depending on
implementation and business process modifications for the new student records
system and the building of the new student center where we will be located in
the near future.
