Bookstore
Description
The Grossmont Bookstore is starting to implement online textbook orders from
faculty to meet the demands of the students, staff and faculty to procure
textbooks in a more timely manner. We will continue to focus on using more
technology to streamline our processes and meet the continuing demands of our
campus.

Approximate Number of Students Served
The bookstore serves every student enrolled at Grossmont and some from
Cuyamaca. 2002-2003 the bookstore sold well over 5000 textbooks.
Support Impact
Both technical and personnel support will be required to meet the demands in
the future.
Year 1 (2004-2005)
Objective
- Maintain up-to-date technology that meets District Information Systems
standards.
- Utilize software that promotes faculty/staff communication.
- Maintain and update district computers now located in the bookstore.
Action to Meet Objective
- Ensure that necessary software supported and funded by information
systems is included in the District’s Information Technology Plan.
- Identify and obtain area-specific software funded by the college.
- Continue to identify resources for area specific technology.
