Art History Area
2002-2004
Description
The Art History Area has two computers for its faculty, and it is in need of a second printer for its full-time faculty member who was added in Fall 2002. Ink cartridges are needed for first and second computers.
Slide viewing is an essential component of instruction for Art History. The Art History Area has a slide collection, however it is always in need of additional slides to amplify lectures and respond to changes in research. The Art History Area is in need of a high-resolution slide scanner and high quality lenses for its slide projectors.
Curriculum Impact
The Art History Area instructors create and supply typed hand-outs for their students. Study sheets, syllabi, quizzes, projects, exams, and lecture notes are produced on computers. A second printer is essential for the efficiency and effectiveness of the Art History Area.
Slides are the backbone of instruction in the Art History area. Good quality, high- resolution projection is crucial for instruction based on visual objects.
