SHIFT + Restart - To restart just  windows and not your whole computer, hold down the shift key when you click  the OK button on the shutdown screen. Saves lots of time.

 


 

 

Preventing web addresses from becoming hyperlinks.

When you type a web address in Word like http://www.computertips.com, Word  will automatically make it a hyperlink. To prevent addresses you type from becoming hyperlinks:

  • Open the Tools menu.
  • Click AutoCorrect.
  • Click the AutoFormat As You Type tab.
  • Simply remove the check from the "Internet and Network Paths With Hyperlinks" checkbox.

Click OK to save your settings

 

 


Hints, Tips, Tricks, etc.

Changing link colors in Internet Explorer.

You can change the colors of links in Internet Explorer easily. To do this:

  • From the View menu click Options.
  • Click the General tab.
  • In the Links box, you can change the colors to whatever you like.
  • Click OK.

Internet Explorer users
Send a friend the web page you are viewing by clicking File, Send, and "Page by E-mail".
