Check out its "calculator" feature...

allows you to do both math and some conversions from the search box. 
 Enter the calculation you'd like done into the search box and hit the Enter key or click on the Google Search button.

Here are some examples of how to set up your calculations:

Operator Function Example
+ addition 3+44
- subtraction 13-5
* multiplication 7*8
/ division 12/3
^ exponentiation (raise to a power of) 8^2
the root of calculates the nth root of a number 5th root of 32
% of X % of Y computes X percent of Y 20% of 150

 


 

You Can Earn Professional Development Credit Online!

www.4faculty.org - Get your training the online way.  Just go to the website, register, and begin completing modules. There are twenty modules in the 4faculty.org website. These modules are updated periodically. Professional development credit or hours can be earned as you successfully complete the modules.

Some of the modules offered are:

  • Building your syllabus,
  • Grades and testing, and
  • Learning theories.

NOTE:  You may not repeat the modules for two years or upon revision/update of the modules—whichever occurs sooner.

 

 


Hints, Tips, Tricks, etc.

Want to try search engines that search a variety of search engines all at once?  Try Ixquick, Dogpile, Mamma, or 37.com.  These are called "meta search engines," and they search a bunch of search engines at once, and then show you the results.
