Technology at Your Fingertips

• Discover which sites have a Web link to a particular site (like "www.grossmont.net").  Using Google (www.google.com), type this formula into the box: link:http://www.(any web address).com.  Find out who's linking to our site (or any site!)

• Here's a tutorial on using copyrighted images legally.  It also includes image searching, downloading and saving hints, and a collection of links to art and photograph collections.

• Digital portraits can be useful: for your web page or to send to colleagues via e-mail. John Dixon will take your picture and e-mail you a digital copy - call him at 619-644-7377 to set up an appointment.

Install Office XP on Your Home Computer - for free!

Our Microsoft licensing agreement allows all faculty, including adjuncts, to install Office XP on their home computers.  To check out a copy, please see Hsiu-Chih Jennings in Room H, LRC, or call her at 619-644-7742.  The disk must be returned in three days.  

Right now, FrontPage is not included in the Office suite.  To get the best deal on purchasing FrontPage, please see Kats Gustafson (619-644-7390).
