Early Admission Opportunity for first time college students

Grossmont College is proud to announce an Early Admission Opportunity for first time college students who fully matriculate (apply, assess, orient/advise) at Grossmont College prior to June 4th. Informational workshops for parents will also be available.

A little clarification on how Early Admission Opportunity program works:
DEADLINE: June 4th for early FALL REGISTRATION

HERE ARE THE STEP BY STEP PROCEDURES THAT ARE ON THE WEBSITE:

Welcome to Grossmont College’s EARLY ADMISSION OPPORTUNITY

WHAT IS EARLY ADMISSION OPPORTUNITY?

EAO offers priority registration to students who fully matriculate (apply, assess, and orient/advise) at Grossmont College.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE ?

First time college students (just graduated from high school) who have applied to Grossmont College for fall 2011.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO PARTICIPATE? (You must complete each of three phases listed below at Grossmont College)

1. APPLICATION

Apply to Grossmont College (allow 24 hours)

2. ASSESSMENT

Make an appointment to take the English/math assessment at Grossmont College.

• Assessments are available by appointment only.

• To make an appointment for an assessment

o go to www.grossmont.edu

o click on “WebAdvisor”

o click on “Log In”. At this point, you will need to set up your WebAdvisor account

After you have setup your Webadvisor account

o click on “Students” tab

o click on “Assessment/Advising Appointment Scheduling” to schedule an appointment

o click on “Grossmont Assessment Appointment”

o click on “Make Appointment”

o click on “English & Math Assessment”, press continue

o click on “Find Appointments”

Note: The system may show “no appointments are currently available”. Try again Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. for additional appointments.

DOES GROSSMONT COLLEGE HAVE PRACTICE TESTS?

YES, Grossmont College does have practice tests.

• English Practice Test

• Math Practice Test

3. ORIENTATION/ADVISING

Once you have completed the assessment process, you can schedule an appointment for Orientation/Advising Presentation. To schedule an appointment:

• go to www.grossmont.edu 

• click on “WebAdvisor”

• click on “Log In”. At this point, you will need to set up your WebAdvisor account

After you have setup your Webadvisor account

• click on “Students” tab

• click on “Assessment/Advising Appointment Scheduling” to schedule an appointment

• click on “Grossmont New Student Advising Appointment”

• click on “Make Appointment”

• click on “New Student Advising”, press continue

• click on “Find Appointments”

Note: The system may show “no appointments are currently available”. Try again Monday beginning at 9:00 a.m. for additional appointments.
